Amy Welborn's site has some information in addition to the article in Christianity Today about Gov. Mitt Romney's decision to Veto a bill that would enable the "morning-after" pill to be dispensed without a prescription. (Ed.....Did you notice that you still need to jump through hoops to let a kid have an aspirin in school, but not to kill their baby). Amy goes on to state in many ways in which there are changes happening in how protestants are viewing "the pill".
Mitt says "...I have spoken with medical professionals to determine whether the drug contemplated under the bill would simply prevent conception or whether it would also terminate a living embryo after conception. Once it became clear that the latter was the case, my decision was straightforward."

PPP Planned Parenthood Priestess
This is just too much. I think I need a shower after reading this article. It oozes with spiritual meaninglessness.
Her position is rare — one of five within the national Planned Parenthood organization — and seemingly oxymoronic, violating the stereotypical separation of church and choice.

To BCE, or not BCE
I read this in the comments section over at The Shrine of the Holy Whapping.
This is in response to the ue of BCE and CE.
Don't get mad, get even. Do what I do, and refer to them as "Christian Era" and "Before the Christian Era."

Putting into words what I have always thought
From over at Shape of Days....
The lesson here is that, whenever possible, you should always just fart around with things. You never know when the experience might come in handy.

Roberts has a shot but can't shoot.
Listening to Hugh just a few minutes ago and it sounds like he has a shot to make it to the SCOTUS. However, per Hugh, he does not have a good jump shot. (Hugh worked with him for a while.)
Maby I should have made the Title: Roberts has no shot. That is probably what the lefties would have lead with. Reminds me the the joke where Pope JPII/BillyGraham ended up walking on water and the press reports "Pope/BillyGraham can't swim"
